While most of us would agree the great win by the Cowboys this weekend was all down to talent and just great team work, our Federal Member thinks he had a hand in the Friday outcome.
One of the Cowboy’s founders, Kerry Boustead, took a minute out ahead of the epic Semi-Final win over the Broncos to receive Mr Katter’s long promised Akubra felt hat.
Mr Katter has known Kerry Boustead for a long time.
“I consider Kerry the best winger in rugby league and that’s not because of any misguided Nth Qld or Innisfail patriotism, look at his old games and tell me he’s not one of the best tacklers and the most elusive winger the game has seen.”
“Kerry and I did a couple of trips together in the early days trying to raise money for the Cowboys and I’m proud to have as my friend Michael Collins a Charters Towers pharmacist who was one of the major original contributors.
“I’ve always admired Kerry, not just as a winger but as a man of outstanding moral integrity . It’s wonderful to have Kerry back in the Cowboys family.”
Onwards and upward Cowboys…and the game strategy can now really be kept under your hat!!
