Charters Towers Regional Council Mayor Frank Beveridge, CEO Mark Crawley and Youth Services staff attended a meeting with Townsville Youth With A Mission CEO Ken Mulligan and his wife Robyn Mulligan at the local council offices.
Also in attendance was Millchester State School Chaplin Sharon Beveridge.
The meeting was to discuss Youth With A Mission’s desire to build connections in the Charters Towers Region and with the community to further the goals of their organisation.
The organisation provides a range of services across the world including leadership, training and volunteering opportunities.
It also has a large medical ship which they use to bring medical care to people in need in Third World countries, whose medical facilities are limited.
They are an Interdenominational Christian Organisation which organise, train and deliver programs to promoting wellbeing and improve communities.
They extended their Charters Towers visit to a short tour of the town with Mayor Frank Beveridge and will endeavour to identify business opportunities and mutually beneficial relationships in the area.
