Missing man, Charters Towers

Police have released CCTV images of a 22-year-old man reported missing from the Charters Towers area on January 3, as they continue to appeal for public assistance to help locate him.

missing ct man- (002)The air and ground search for Jayden Penno-Tompsett was scaled back yesterday afternoon after it failed to located Mr Penno-Tompsett or any items of interest.

Police have released CCTV images of Mr Penno-Tompsett in the early hours of December 31, 2017, at a roadhouse on Thompson Street (Flinders Highway) in Charters Towers. He has not been seen since.

Police and family still hold concerns for his welfare as he has not made any contact with them, which is out of character.

Police are exploring all avenues however accept that it is a possibility that Mr Penno-Tompsett, from Newcaslte, is still travelling as part of his original plans and may not be aware that he has been reported missing.

Police are urging property owners in the Towers Hill area to check their properties and are also urging anyone who may have been travelling in the central or north Queensland area on New Year’s Eve to contact Police Link on 131 444, if they believe they may have seen Mr Penno-Tompsett.

Mr Penno-Tompsett is described as Caucasian in appearance, 175cms tall and has mousey brown hair.

He was last seen wearing a black singlet, navy blue board shorts, a black cap and black and red thongs.
